SANTA CATERINA Villa

Apartment on the top, third floor of a historical building in the centre of Siena. It is reached by 48 steps but there is no elevator. The apartment is luminous and comfortable and ideal for those who prefer not to rent a car. There is a private parking area not far from the building that is reserved for residents and to which the owners will provide access if requested. There is a charge for use of the parking area.

The apartment, recently restored, develops on two floors. Through its private entrance and up 9 steps is a hall with wardrobe and open-plan living/dining room and kitchen area. There is a long counter that separates the kitchen from the living area.

The kitchen is fully equipped with gas range, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, Italian and American coffee machines, toaster and other kitchen robots. The living area has a fireplace and satellite TV with the international Sky channels on it. There are 3 large panoramic windows in the living/dining room that open out over Siena facing the Duomo and the church of San Domenico.

From the entrance, a hall leads to a series of doors: one is to a small utilities room with washing machine, a second is to a complete bathroom with both bathtub and shower, a third is to a double bedroom with bed that can be separated into twins on request at time of booking, and a last door opens into the master bedroom with ensuite complete bathroom divided into two sections: the first hosts a washbasin and the second is where the bidet, shower and WC are located.

A metal staircase in the living room leads to the upper floor gallery with slanted roof that is furnished as a study and equipped with computer and Internet access. A first door in the study opens into a wardrobe and a second door that remains closed is to the apartment’s utilities room. The last door opens into a single bedroom with skylight. This room develops on two levels that are separated by 3 steps. The furnishings and fittings are of top quality and the flooring is oak parquet. The ceilings are with wood beams and cotto tiles.

The price includes all utilities comprising central heating and air conditioning in the appropriate seasons. There is a telephone available for guest use and local calls are included, while calls outside of Siena will be charged. There is an internet connection and maid service is available on request at Euros 20 per hour and the fireplace wood is payable on consumption. There is a baby cot.
